Figodo – For Finding Businesses

Client Requirement:

The client wanted us to design and develop a travel application similar to the Yelp where user can search for businesses near their locations on three categories i.e. “Who they are with”, “How much they’re willing to spend”, “What they want to do”.

Our Endeavor:

Figodo is an app that would help users to find a burrito joint, an Irish pub nearby, a gas station they can drive to before their tank hits the empty mark; or for any other businesses concerning their requirements. The app can be user for searching places to eat, shop, drink, relax and play then read reviews from an active community of locals in the know.

We have designed the project based on the color scheme reference shared by the client and application flow. Our developers have used the Core Location Framework with Autoresizing technique to make the application compatible with iPhone 4 as well as other device versions of iPhone, using the single NIB files. We have used custom controls along with custom cells so that the application’s performance should be maintained to a certain level. We have used thread with non-concurrency operation to deals web-services into the application.

We have prepared the detail wireframe of the application before moving with the development to reduced the flow iteration with the core development. application admin panel is developed in Drupal, which will provide the better security in the web-services using their token mechanism, so that the admin can view the un-authored uses by the anonymous users.
