A Website for Sending Gifts to Friends & Family

Client Requirement:

The project was about designing and developing a social website that would be tied with Facebook and use Amazon as well as Commission Junction affiliate program.

Our Endeavor:

The website comes with an innovative idea, which is, users will make their individual profiles and will add their likings and dis-likings like: favorite flower, candy, drinks, flavors, colors and sports teams which will be paired with accurate shipping information, telephone contact, email address and other necessary statistics. All these details will allow users to take an idea about their friends and will assist them in sending them a gift.  For example, user posts on Facebook that he is having a bad week. A friend/purchaser would be able to view his Moocher Profile to understand what are his general likes and dislikes. And can purchase flowers, chocolates or any random gift as a ‘Have a better week’ type of gift and send it right away from the website.

The PSDs were sent by the client and our designers converted them into table-less HTML codes. We have used ASP.NET 4.0, C# .NET and SQL server 2008 database to develop the website. Our developers facilitated the users to register and login with their FB account to use the utilities of the site. Whenever a user uses his Facebook details, the site accesses their private data and keep them updated about the new arrivals, posts or offers etc.
