A Business listing & Business Review Website

Client Requirement:

The client wanted us to develop a business listing website allowing users to register/login, view business listings, search for business listings/reviews. The client wanted to enable the business owners would be able to register/login, add their business details, images, view reviews posted by other users.

Our Endeavor:

The project involves developing a review website. The website is having two types of users: visitor/user and business owner. Visitors/users can register/login to the website using their Facebook login credentials. Users can import contacts from Gmail, AOL, Yahoo, MSN, and would be able to send an invitation to their friends to join the website. They can browse business listings/services by category and can search for business listings/reviews by Postcode and surrounding postcodes, Trade/profession, Rating, Date, Business name and Search functionality would be provided with the predictive suggestions result.

End Users:

The user would be able to view reviews and ratings posted by other users. To post a review they need to enter the entering the following details:

Date review is posted (automatically populated)
Reviewer’s display name (automatically populated)
Company Name (ability to search for businesses already registered on the website to avoid the same business have double listings)
Company Representative
Short description of work completed
Users can rate a service depending upon few predefined category like:
Quality of Work
Professionalism
Value for money
Expertise
On Time
Overall rating was given

Users would be able to share their reviews on Facebook.

Business Users:

Business owners can register/login and create account/profile by entering the details like:

Username (displayed on submitted reviews)
First Name
Last Name
Email Address

The business owner would be able to add their businesses by entering the following:

Business details
Business name
Years business established
Full Address (street, suburb, postcode)
Contact Phone number
Email
Website URL
Location (displayed on Google map)

Business owners would be able to view reviews and ratings posted by other users on their listed business. Business owners would be able to submit their response to the listed reviews posted by the users on their business.

The website is also having admin section which is hidden from the user. Admin can manage the content of static pages using the provided modules in the admin section. Admin can manage the user/business owner and category/subcategory of the website. Admin will be able to manage reports like:

Reports for Registered users
Reports for Registered business owners
Reports for Newsletters
Reports for Business Listed and Reports for Ads

Google Map feature: Business owner would be able to add their business address and location. The address and location would be pinned on Google map. Business owners need to provide a full address to administrator and would be provided with an option to only show the suburb on Google Map which goes to the frontend.
