Handling Travels Efficiently

Client Requirement:

The client approached us with a requirement of developing a website that works as a database offering details about numerous roadside companies of US, Canada and worldwide. The client wanted us to enable 5 types of operators to get registered with the site. The main idea was to enable visitors to search various information added by the operators. They can send request quotes based on their requirements.

Our Endeavor:

The project was basically about developing a dynamic website having 5 types of operators (Bus operators, Towing operators, Drivers, Tour Guide and Mechanics) will register into the site by filling-up various information in steps. On admin approval, they will login into the site to update their profiles, add the buses, trucks as well as manage their company information.

We have developed a tool similar to Adwords, which will be used by the operators to add the company locations all over the world based on the proximity search using Google map which also require admin approval. Operators will also be able to send the request to admin to change the position of his added location based on the city which admin can approve/reject.

Key feature of the website is search on the website and its listing where visitor will be able to search the operator information based on company name, bus type, country, state/city and zipcode-radius. On the search listing page, visitor will be able to send the request of quote to multiple operators as the same time. Email notifications has been implemented for the operators on various admin approval, request quote etc. Visitor can also give rating/comment to the operators.

There is a separate Admin section which would allow admin to manage the operators, buses, trucks, locations as added by operators, approve/reject position, approve/reject rating/review, FAQ as well as manage content of static pages.

We have developed Charter Buses, Towing, Tour Guide, Bus Driver, Bus Mechanic etc. pages and have implemented search forms allowing users to perform the following tasks:

• Search by state: bus type, state, city/area (automatically filled in depending on state).
• Search by zip: zip, radius.
• Search by company name.
• Each bus would have a checkbox, and upon selecting one or more buses from a company, user would be provided with an option to click on “Request a quote” button which would help them to post a quote list and would prompt the users to continue looking for buses or go to the quote request page.

The website also proffers a robust admin section enabling the administrator to manage the activities, users, pages and orders from his panel. This is a huge portal, catering to large section of end-users, and we have made sure it doesn’t lack anything to satisfy our client’s business.
